By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Adopt the attitude and service mindset of top-performing retail sales professionals.
- Approach customers with the most effective opening lines and opening moves and overcome the “I’m just looking” customer.
- Make more effective demonstrations by selling the value the customer wants and creating a desire for ownership.
- Cross-sell and up-sell additional items and construct a Trial Close (also known as the Assumptive Add-On Close).
- Anticipate common objections and respond to: “I’ll think about it”, “It costs too much”, “I’ll have to ask my partner” and others.
- Recognise buying signals, use basic closing techniques and handle last-minute requests for discounts.
- Prevent (and overcome) buyer’s remorse, confirm the sale and request another visit.
Our virtual training is designed for anyone in retail sales, whether customer service, roadshows, or pop-up stalls. We understand that dealing with customers face-to-face is an integral part of what they do – or should be doing.

All of our training programs are available live in-person when circumstances allow or live virtual training.
Our VILT programs are designed to be highly engaging and interactive. Participants benefit from using a combination of chat, polls and live discussion to participate in the training. While breakout rooms are used for group discussions and sharing, so crucial points are reinforced and remembered.
All participants receive complete Retail Selling workbooks, post-training reinforcement content and access to our private Facebook group for ongoing support.
